Deaf Solution Ltd is a CQC registered Deaf led specialist care agency providing homecare to Deaf and Deafblind clients who need personal care and support to lead independent lives. Deaf Solution Ltd wants to support people to maintain their independence, comfort and contact with their local community. Personal care and support is flexible and tailor made to the individual with the right type of support being given at the right time.
Enabling people to live as independently as possible is the number one priority of Deaf Solution Ltd and our care goes above and beyond simply meeting the basic identified needs of our clients. As a specialist agency we support our clients first and foremost by being able to communicate in their own language, which is usually British Sign Language (BSL). Further, we share a common culture that provides a deep level of trust and empathy. These two elements, which we would argue are the foundations of delivering an excellent service, distinguish our company from any of the other care agencies in the region.
Deaf Solution Ltd offers personal care, personal support and supported independent living as and when required. We charge a flat fee throughout the week and weekends providing greater flexibility to clients who wish to move hours between the week and weekends. Deaf Solution Ltd will support clients who are Deaf or Deafblind, with or without additional needs, and has experience dealing with clients who have dementia, cerebral palsy, wheelchair users, have suffered a stroke or who misuse alcohol.
Our priority is the health and wellbeing of our clients and we operate person centred care where the wants and needs of the client are met in the way they want them to be met. We try to match clients and staff very carefully to ensure strong, trusting partnerships are built. As many of our existing clients do not have family support or if they do the family is unable to communicate successfully, we offer support with correspondence and appointments as a value added extra. Often our staff will act as Deaf Relay Interpreters for the client when attending appointments either in or out of the home such as with social workers or hospital appointments. All our staff are DBS checked and are given extensive training prior to starting work with clients, including a period of shadowing.
